Building transparency, accountability and public participation into Mining governance

This badge was awarded upon successful completion of the module “TBuilding transparency, accountability and public participation into Mining governance”, which is part of the course “Integrating Environmental, Social, and Human Rights Protection into the Governance of the Mining Sector”, jointly implemented by UNITAR, UNDP and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The module explains the importance of engaging with and being accountable to stakeholders as a key strategy for improving the sustainability of mining. It builds on Principle 10 that will be explained in Module 1.
